DIY Heart Garland

Don't you love all the adorable garlands you see in crafts stores like Hobby Lobby and Michaels? I love them too but don't love the prices and since I enjoy creating my own crafts I decided to create my own heart garland for Valentine's Day.
You only need a few items to create this cute Valentine's Day decor. You will need felt balls, felt and string or twine. I am a big clearance shopper, so I had a bunch of felt balls from a garland I bought on clearance one year. I gathered up my Valentine's Day colors from the garland and added felt of the same colors.
First, print out a heart shape to trace on the felt. Trace two hearts for each felt heart you are going to create.

Trace a heart shape on a folder piece of felt. Cut out to create 2 hearts in each color.
Next, use your hot glue gun to glue together the two felt hearts. Leave a small amount open and then stuff with poly fill. Then, glue the remainder of the felt hearts together to make the puffy felt hearts.

Use a hot glue gun to glue your heart together. Stuff with poly fill before finishing the gluing.
I chose to create 5 puffy hearts in the various colors I wanted for my heart garland. You can create as many as you want based on the supplies you have and the size of the garland you want. The best part of making this on your own is that you get to choose the colors and the size of your heart garland.

You will add these puffy hearts to your felt balls to make the Heart garland.
After, you will use a large needle and thread the string of choice you would like to use. String the balls and hearts onto the string. Add in any order you would like to create the pattern look you are wanting for your heart garland.

This heart garland is so easy to create. I loved being able to use the colors I wanted in my garland.
