Yarn hearts for Valentine' Day

Yarn hearts are a quick and easy craft to do one weekend with your friends or family. You only need cardboard and any yarn of choice. I have mad a variety of hearts using different textured and colored yarn I had in my stash. Once you begin, you will be creating these quickly to decorate your home with for Valentine's Day.

I started with a box I had from a recent purchase. I made use of as much of the cardboard that I could. I printed out a heart to make a pattern for tracing, but you can simply draw a heart on your own. Trace and cut out the hearts.

I suggest rounding the bottom point of the heart before beginning. It makes it easier when wrapping the yarn.

Next, simply take the yarn and begin wrapping it around the cardboard. Wrap in different directions until there is no more cardboard showing.
