Heart Shaped Dog

Make this adorable dog this Valentine's Day

Step 1: Start with a Heart Doily

To make this adorable dog, begin with a heart doily from the Dollar Tree. You will place it upside down on your work surface.

Place the heart doily upside down.

Step 2: Create the Ears

Cut a heart out of construction paper. This will form the ears, so make sure it is smaller then the paper doily. After cutting out the heart, use your scissors to cut the heart in half. These will be the ears for the dog.

Step 3: Add the Ears

Glue the ears to the side of the heart. The rounded part of the heart will face down. Angle the pointed part of the heart to fit along the edge of the paper doily.

Step 4: Add Details to Create the Face

To create the cute face use some craft foam shapes. Add a larger foam heart for the dog's nose. Glue it at the middle and bottom of the paper heart doily. Next, use a smaller heart as a spot for the dog. Add a googly eye on top of the smaller foam heart and add it on the face. Then, add a second googly eye to complete the dog's face.

Step 1: Start with a Heart Doily

Start with a heart shaped paper doily. This time, place it on your work surface face up.

The heart doily will make the cat's face.

Step 2: Add Features for the Face

Add features using craft supplies and paper to make the cat's face. Googly eyes, pipe cleaner whiskers and a cut heart nose. Cut one pipe cleaner in half to make the whiskers. Then glue them into the doily and add a heart nose on top. Separate the pipe cleaners and form to make them look like whiskers.
