Sea Turtle Craft

Sea Turtle Craft
Sea turtles made with glitter glue from the Dollar Tree.

Sea turtles are a favorite animal for many people. They are so adorable and are portrayed in many movies. My favorite of course is Crush and his son Squirt in Finding Nemo. They just put a smile of my face and I love their portrayal of a tight knit family group.

I really enjoyed creating these turtle using easy and inexpensive items from the Dollar Tree. The Dollar Tree has these bottles of glitter glue that I think are a steal! I stock up any time I see them at my local Dollar Tree. You never know when a color might be valuable for crafting. I also purchased a package of waxed paper as well.

  1. Cut a piece of waxed paper larger than the opening in the center of the turtle. Add glitter glue and spread out. Place the turtle on top to ensure the amount of glitter you have will cover the opening of the shell. Allow the glitter to dry completely before moving on to the next step.
  1. Once the glue is dried, position it under the opening of the shell. Use the stapler to attach the waxed paper to the turtle.
  1. Cut off the excess waxed paper to finish your turtle.
