Santa Craftivity

Santa Craftivity

Look at this adorable Santa craft you can create. This simple craft is a great way to prepare for Christmas. No matter what age you are, it is so fun to create holiday items to display in your home or to simply make. You can divide this activity up into several parts to make it easier for your little one to keep focus, if needed.

Directions:

  1. Prepare a paper plate and paper bowl by stapling them together.  The color does not matter since you will be painting them both with red paint.
  1. After, use acrylic paint to paint them both red.  You only need a small amount of paint. I added a little squirt directly to the top of the bowl and then spread with the paintbrush. Allow time to dry.
  1. Print out the Santa template and color. You can use crayons or markers. Leave Santa's beard, hat, mittens and top of boots white. Cotton will be glued onto these parts later.

  2. Glue the belt to the middle of the dried bowl.
  1. Prepare cotton balls by pulling them apart. Then, use Elmer's liquid glue to attach cotton to the pieces of Santa and his clothes.
  1. Attach the pieces of Santa and his clothes to the paper plate. Add pieces of red paper to create arms and legs. You can use a stapler if you find that easier.
