Pumpkin Pie Slice

Pumpkin Pie Slice
Pumpkin pie slice

Tis the season for pumpkin spice everything. I love some of the new food and drinks with pumpkin pie spice flavor, but my favorite is a classic slice of pumpkin pie. It is a tradition to have a slice after Thanksgiving dinner. Let your child make some pumpkin pie this year with this fun collage craft. After making, your child can have fun pretending to serve you a slice of pie. Imaginary play is a great way for your child to work on many social and developmental skills.

To make this pie, simply print out the pie slice.

Print the pie slice on paper or cardstock for more durability.

First step is to use a marker or crayon to color in the pie crust.

Next, use scraps of orange paper. Have your child tear the orange paper into small pieces. This is a great fine motor skill for your child. After tearing the paper, have your child glue them into the middle of the pie slice.

When completed, cut out the slice of pie. Add the pie slice to a paper plate and let your child practice serving family a slice of pie after dinner. They might even want to make several pieces of pie to include all family members in the fun.

For more fun, glue on a cotton ball, to act as whipped cream.
