Supplies Needed
- White construction paper or cardstock
- Blue or light-colored paper for the background
- Scissors
- Glue
- Black marker or crayon
- Optional: cotton balls, googly eyes, crayons
Step 1: Prepare the Background Paper
To start rip pieces of scrap paper into long strips. Glue the strips on a large piece of construction paper 18x24.

Step 2: Print and Cut out the Polar Bear Pieces
Print and cut out the pieces of the polar bear on white paper. After printing cut out all the pieces.

Step 3: Add Details to the Face and Ears
Use a black marker to add details. Add eyes, a nose and a mouth. You can also add details to the ears.

Step 4: Assembly the Polar Bear on the Paper to "Pop"
Glue the larger body piece on the background paper.

Now, cut 2 small strips of paper. Roll them into the circle and glue the ends together. Then, glue them onto the body of the polar bear. Place one in the center of the body and one on the foot of the polar bear.






Glue the smaller part of the polar bear on top of the rolled paper.



To make the polar bear's head "pop up" You will need to create an accordion folded piece of paper. To do this, begin by gluing two pieces of paper together.


Now, fold the bottom piece over and the top piece down. Now repeat this process until you reach the end of the paper. Then, glue the paper into place.

Now you can add the folded paper onto the body of the polar bear and then glue the head of the polar bear on the top.
