Pom Pom Heart sign
I had a TON of red pom poms in my stash. I saw a video of a creator making a pom pom sign and decided to make my own using my red pom poms. I like to work with what I have so all of these items came from my craft supplies.
I first found the frame in my stash and decided it would work. It fit the wodded hearts I had and I had more than enough pom poms to cover it.
Next, I painted the frame and edges of the wooden frame. I knew I was going to cover the middle with red pom poms so I did not need to paint it. When painting I use my silicone craft mat, you can tell it is well used. They are easy to clean up, I often wait until it is a little dirty since it is so easy to get clean.
Paint the outside of the frame you chose if you wish.
After allowing some drying time I began the process of gluing down the pom poms. I chose to use a quick drying glue which I highly recommend. This made this process so easy and kept the pom poms in place as I worked quickly to fill in the frame.
Continue gluing until all the frame is filled in.
Next, I looked through my paper stash and decided to to look for some digital paper on Creative Fabrica. I love this website, it gives an endless amount of digital downloads to choose from. I found a digital paper set that I liked and printed off 3 sheets of paper to use to cover my wooden hearts.
Next trace and cut out your paper to fit the wooden hearts. I then glued down using modge podge. Make sure to apply a final coat on top to protect the paper.
Transform these plain wooded hearts with some valentine themed paper.
The final step is to use a hot glue gun to glue down the hearts onto the framed pom poms.
How great did this turn out? Don't forget to be creative and use what you have to make your own Valentine's decorations.
