DYI Alcohol Inks
Make your own alcohol inks at home with this easy DIY method. Alcohol inks are great for paper crafting with kids. It is a great alternative to paint because they can be applied and create a unique design. They are also great because the alcohol dries quickly, allowing you to

I used my alcohol inks to create a pattern on a paper plate to use as the feathers for my turkey. All you need to do is get a white paper plate and your selected colors of alcohol inks. I love to use these with craft pipettes. I purchased these craft pipettes on Amazon and I love them! They are easy for little ones to use and are easy to clean for repeated use.

These are so great for crafting and sensory play for little ones.

I find the best method is to fill the pipette with liquid and then squirt it out. Then use what remains to decorate the plate. There will be some liquid, but not too much. This will create little drops all over the plate.

Repeat this method using any colors you choose. Repeat until you are happy with the pattern you have created. This project will dry quickly since it is using alcohol inks.

After, print out the turkey body from the provided template. Cut out with scissors and glue onto the paper plate.

To complete your turkey add features to create the face. I used a scrap piece of orange paper to create a beak. I then made a wattle out of red paper. Last, I drew on eyes with a black marker.
