Owl Mosaic

You will love making these mosaic owls with your child. I love how unique each one turns out. You can pick the colors you love and create the beautiful owl eyes in a quick, easy craft time with your child. My son and I made these owl eyes and I love how different they turned out and how we each created a different look with the spacing of our paper.
You simply need eyes and a beak to create these owls. You can make these your self our download and print the ones provided.
To begin this project you will glue the eyes of the owl into the middle of the paper. I used a large 12x18 inch construction paper, you can use smaller paper too. First glue down the larger circle and then the eye circle on top of that.

Cut and glue the circles onto the construction paper.
Next, select some colors of paper you would like to use. We used scrap paper pieces and paint sample colors. Start by cutting the paper into small pieces. Then begin gluing pieces of one color around the eyes.

Cut paper and glue around the eye
Next, select another color and glue it around the first circle you made. Continue until you are happy with your owl.

Continue gluing the paper around the eyes.
Once you are happy with the owl, add a beak in the middle of the eyes.
