Supplies You’ll Need
- Construction paper (red, pink, purple, white, and other colors)
- Glue stick or liquid glue
- Scissors
- Markers or crayons
- Googly eyes (optional)

Step 1: Print Out the Shapes
Print out the provided sheets or draw the easy shapes on your own. Let your child be creative and choose any color they would like for their birds.

Step 2: Cut and Prepare the Shapes
Cut out the large heart. Then, cut the heart down the center, creating 2 equal pieces. Your child will create both birds from the one heart.



Cut the heart in half to create 2 birds from the heart
Next, cut out the smaller hearts, you will need 2 to create the wings of the love birds. Once cut out, fold the smaller heart in half. Then, glue one side of the heart down to the half heart you cut. Leave the other side of the smaller heart folded to look like the wing of the bird.





There are two different sizes of small hearts available for creating the wings.
Step 3: Add Details for the Face
Now you can add details to the love bird to make their faces. Cut out two small white circle and add an eye with a black marker. Then glue one to each love bird. Add a triangle shaped piece of yellow or orange paper to create the birds' beaks.

Step 4: Glue the Love Bird on Paper and Add Details
Glue your cute love birds onto a background paper. Allow your child to add hearts, clouds or a rainbow in the sky. They can be as creative as they want.
