Here’s a list of Groundhog’s Day books kids will love! This holiday comes around once a year, however it is such a fun day for kiddos.

1.   “Groundhog Gets a Say” by Pamela Curtis Swallow:  Groundhog wants everyone to know that he can do LOTS more than tell the weather.  He is pretty special and wants everyone to know all about it. This book gives lots of information about real groundhogs.

2.   “The Night Before Groundhogs Day” by Natasha Wing:  This is a part of an amazing series of books that teaches children all about holidays.  In this book we learn all about Groundhog’s day the day before. When the groundhog comes out of his den,  will there be spring or six weeks of snow?  

3.     “Groundhog’s Runaway Shadow” by David Biedzycki:  No matter what Phil’s shadow was always with him. Phil and shadow always wanted the opposite things and Phil got so frustrated he told Shadow “I wish you would go away!”  So. Shadow went his own way.  Will Phil ever find his shadow?

4.  “Groundhog’s Day off” by Robb Peralman:  Each year when Groundhog’s day comes along, everyone is only concerned about the weather.  Groundhog feels sad no one even asks about him, so he decided to go on vacation. Will the town learn to appreciate Groundhog in time for Groundhog’s day?
