Goldfish
Create this craft goldfish and your child will be having it swim around in circles. The string attached at the top allows children to have the goldfish swim around the ocean, river, lake or fishbowl. This craft is a great addition to imaginary play. It can also be used for retelling their favorite book or perhaps their own story.
Supplies:
- Paint or markers ( any color you choose)
- Glitter ( optional)
- Stapler
- Plastic shopping bag or newspaper
- Yarn
- Goldfish template
Instructions:
- Paint both copies of the goldfish. Your child can choose any color they would like.
- While paint is still wet add glitter onto the goldfish.
- Cut out both goldfish after the paint has dried.
- Begin stapling the goldfish together. Staple about 3/4 of the way closed.
- Add a plastic shopping bag or newspaper to the open goldfish to make it puffy and full.
- Finish stapling the fish together. Again assist your child if needed.
- Before completely stapling, add a piece of yarn to the inside of the fish.
