Football Turkey
Does your child love football? Create this adorable turkey for Thanksgiving using footballs as feathers. This craft is easy to create by printing out the templates and gluing the turkey together.
Directions:
- Print out the templates for the turkey. You can print the turkey on brown cardstock or construction paper or color if you would prefer.
- Cut out the turkey body and eyes. Glue the eyes on the turkey.
- Use a scrap piece of yellow or orange paper to make a beak. Draw a diamond shape on the paper and cut out. Fold the diamond in half and add glue to the bottom half and add to the turkey.
Create a beak for the turkey using a scrap piece of paper.
- Use a scrap piece of paper to create a wattle. I literally just drew a blob on the paper and cut out. Glue the wattle next to the beak.
Add a red wattle next to the beak.
- Color the footballs any color you choose. I used markers however, you can also use crayons. Cut out and glue in place to act as the turkey's feathers.
Add football feathers to the turkey's body.
- Use a scrap piece of yellow paper to draw two legs. Cut out and glue to the bottom of the turkey.
Draw a simple foot and cut out to create the turkey's feet.
- Finally, use a white marker to create a spot on the eyes of the turkey. I used a white out pen which is a less expensive alternative to a white marker. You can also find white out at the Dollar Tree.
