Felt Lavender Flowers

Flowers are such a great addition to any home. Creating your own flowers from felt is a fun and inexpensive activity you can easily make. I made this bouquet and used it as a part of my Lent and Easter display in my home. I love to decorate for the holidays, it allows me to change my decor frequently. These felt flowers are simple to create with minimal supplies.
First, gather all the supplies you will need. You will need various colors of purple felt, green pipe cleaners, scissors and a glue gun. What I really love about this craft is that the work does not need to be perfect and the end result will still look amazing!

Next, cut the felt into strips approximately 3-4 inches wide.

After, you will use a hot glue gun to apply glue along the edge of the felt. Fold the felt in half, lengthwise.

Use a hot glue gun to quickly and efficiently fold the felt.
Now use a scissor and cut small slits along the length of the felt. Start cutting on the folded side of the felt and cut towards the glued side. Do not cut too high or you will cut through the felt.

Cut small strips using a sharp pair of scissors.
Now, you will glue the top of the purple felt to the top of the green pipe cleaner. Then, twist the felt tightly around the pipe cleaner. Then use hot glue to attach the felt at the bottom.

Twist the felt tightly and closely to create your lavender.
Continue this process until you have enough flowers to fill your vase or bucket.

Display your bouquet in your home.
