Kids love learning about farm animals. It is a fun way to teach kids about animals, sounds and colors. Kids can easily mimic the noises the animal makes. It is pretty common to have a farm close by to visit, go and discover the animals. This can give your child the opportunity to show you what animals they know. You can also have a discussion about the colors of the animals that your child knows.

This sheep is easy to create with a printable template. Make this craft even more fun by adding puffy paint to the sheep when finished.

To begin, print and cut out the templates in the coordinating colors. The templates have wide lines to allow for errors when cutting. Using scissors to cut they shapes out is a good fine motor skill for kids to practice.

Next, color the eye with a marker or crayon, your child can chose any color they wish. Then glue the eyes onto the head of the sheep.

Glue the fur on top of the head of the sheep.

Add the fur to the top of the head.

Next, use a marker or crayon to add details to the sheep's face. First, draw a smile shape, this will be the nose of the sheep. Then draw a straight line from the middle of the nose. Draw the line down to the bottom of the face. This will be the mouth of the sheep.

Next, add the inner part of the ear by drawing a black oval inside the ear of the sheep.

Adding details makes the sheep look more realistic.

Now, work on making the body. Glue the four legs to the bottom side of the body of the sheep.

Adding puffy paint is a fun way to add texture to the sheep. You will need to leave this to dry overnight. To make the puffy paint, mix equal amounts of white liquid glue and shaving cream together. Use a popsicle stick or paintbrush to mix together.

Add the puffy paint onto the body of the sheep. You can use a popsicle stick or paint brush to add the puffy paint.

Since the puffy paint contains glue, you can stick the head and tail directly to the body. Once dry, they will be connected to the body.

Last, add the puffy paint to the head and tail. Allow the puffy paint to dry .

This sheep can also be completed without the puffy paint, simply glue the head and tail onto the body of the sheep.
