Easy Jellyfish Craft
Having fun and creating crafts does not need to be hard. Create this adorable jellyfish with a few items. Customize by choosing the colors you like. This is a great way to work with your child at identifying colors and counting as you add the tentacles to the bottom of the jellyfish.
Read a book before or after making this craft for more extension of learning. Your child can use the jellyfish to retell the story or create their own story. Here are three books I recommend about jellyfish.
- "Bloom" by Julia Seal
- "The Jellyfish Who Lost Its Glow" by Little Hippo Books
- "Peanut Butter and Jellyfish" by Erika Stewart
Supplies:
- Paper plate
- Glue stick
- Pipe cleaners
- Marker
- Hole puncher
- Jellyfish face template
Instructions:
- Cut out jellyfish eyes and cheeks and glue to the paper plate.
- Use a marker and wrap the pipe cleaners around it to create a spiral shape on the pipe cleaners to create the tentacles of the jellyfish.
- Use a hole puncher to create holes to attach the tentacles. I used the division on the plate to space my tentacles.
- Use a marker to draw a mouth on your jellyfish.
- Your jellyfish is complete and ready to use for imaginative play or retelling a jellyfish story.
