Caramel Apples

Caramel Apples

Fall is a time of the year when I think of apple orchards. My family and I have enjoyed going apple picking over the years. Have you ever been? If so, you should plan a trip as a family. Walking around and picking different apple varieties from on orchard to take home is a wonderful experience. When returning home, it is fun to make a variety of apple recipes using the apples you have picked.

Candy apples are fun to make and eat! There are so many easy ways to make these if you choose to not make your own caramel. Add sprinkles, nuts or toffee chips after dipping in caramel for an extra yummy treat.

You can also create a caramel apple made out of paper. This activity is so simple, print out the template on white paper and color.

You can color the caramel apples with markers or crayons.

When your child is finished coloring, you will have them cut out the caramel apples. Then, attach a wooden popsicle stick to the bottom of the apple.

These are great for dramatic play. Have your child pretend to make these and serve them to your family or his/her dolls or toys.
