Ants in your Pants
Have you ever heard or told your child they have ants in their pants? I came across this book at the library called" Sam with Ants in His Pants" by April Reynolds. In this book Sam's mom told him he had ants in his pants and he needed to rest for awhile. Join Sam as he rests while reading a book with a whole bunch of animals joining him. Your child will love this book!
After reading add some ants to a pair of pants. Print out this FREE template of a pair of pants. Print on any color cardstock or construction paper.
After printing the pants, you can choose to cut them out or not. I used a circle puncher to punch out black circles. You can also cut by hand or print out some circles. Use these to make the ants to add to your pants.
Add circles to the pants in groups of three. Ants are insects and have three body parts, so teach this to your child by having them add three circles. Then, use a pen to add 6 legs and 2 antennae to each ant. Again reinforcing this body parts of the ant.
