Supplies Needed

Step 1: Print out the flag template
Print out the flag template. The large flag template will be on white and the smaller stripes of 7 on red paper. Print the blue corner piece of paper for the flag, called the union or the canton.

Step 2: Cut and glue the red stripes.
Cut out the stripes, try to have your child complete this step. However, it may be necessary to pre-cut strips for younger kids to make this craft easier! Starting at the top, glue the first red stripe. The next stripe will be white. Repeat this pattern until you reach the bottom. You will have 7 red stripes and 6 white stripes.






Glue red stripes on every other space.
Step 3: Glue the blue rectangle in the corner
Place the blue rectangle in the left hand corner of the flag

Step 4: Add the stars
Use a qtip to add 50 dots to the blue corner piece. These represent the 50 stars if the flag. To make this easier, add 5 groups of 10 dots.




As an alternate option you can also add star stickers
