15 books to read with your child for Hispanic Heritage Month

National Hispanic Heritage Month occurs from September 15-October 15. Hispanic heritage month begins on September 15 because five Central American countries (Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua) declared their independence on Sep. 15, 1821. It is a time to remember and celebrate the contributions of Hispanic Americans.
