12 Easy and Inexpensive Valentine's Day Décor

I love everything hearts and enjoy decorating my home with items for Valentine's Day after I take down my Christmas decorations. It just continues the feeling of love and happiness in the house. You can easily create some valentine décor with some inexpensive items, many from the Dollar Tree.

1. Hearts created from face masks: These require any fabric or use your old face masks from COVID. You will need a hot glue gun, pinking shears and poly fill. My all time favorite hot glue gun is the Gorilla Dual Temperature Mini Glue Gun. As an avid crafter, I have to tell you this is the best glue gun I have used. It gets hot enough to easily and precisely use the glue, but it is not too hot.

2. Dollar Tree Heart Décor: These are a fun and unique heart you can make. If you like to decoupage, you will love this craft. I took leftover heart containers I had and turned them into these hearts that can be added to any basket or bowl around your home. Use any scraps of paper or scrapbook paper you love to make these fit your home or your personality.

3. Felt Heart Wreath: This felt wreath is so simple to make and costs under $3.00 using felt and a wreath ring from the Dollar Tree. While I do purchase felt at craft stores, I really loved this 50Pcs Thin Felt Fabric Sheets, I purchased from Amazon. I loved the variety of colors and the thinness made it easy to cut. It is even easy to cut with children's scissors.

4. DIY Ribbon Garland: Your ribbon of choice, Dollar Tree hair bands and hot glue are all you need for this beautiful ribbon garland. You can even use this for other times of the year. Be on the look out for ribbon in clearance after the holidays.

5. Pop Art Hearts painting on a thrifted painting: There are a ton of canvas painting available at thrift stores or garage sales. All you need to do is find the size you like. You will paint over the painting with a background color of you choice. Then, using watercolor paints you can create this pop art inspired heart painting. I love how mine turned out!

6. DIY Heart Garland: Made from felt, twine and felt balls this is another easy and fun craft garland you can create on your own. Don't spend $20 plus dollars at a store when you can make it yourself and use the colors and patterns you want.

7. Heart Rhinestone Art: Small stretched canvases, hot glue, rhinestones and ribbon will help you make this original piece of art for your home.

8. Valentine's Waxed Paper Heart Décor: Waxed paper and crayons shavings will help your create this colorful display for your windows. You will love the way these look with the light shining through.

9. DIY Valentine's Love Sign: It is so nice to use what you have to create a cute decoration for your home. If course this was made so much easier by using my Silhouette Cameo cutting machine. My Silhouette Cameo has been a well worthwhile purchase. I use it for cutting word out of vinyl, creating shirt designs, making stickers and even cutting felt. 10. Yarn Hearts: Create these simple yarn hearts using cardboard and any yarn you have to match your style. I love the variety of colors and textures of yarn you can use to create these. Cut different sized hearts to make a variety of hearts to display.

11. Valentine Felt Envelope Garland: This garland is easy to make with simple felt and heart stickers or cut outs. Use some embroidery thread to add a pop of color and detail. I highly recommend getting crafting needle  with a blunt tip for threading the twine through at the end.

12. Pom pom Heart Sign: This is another easy craft you can make with little supplies or some you may even already have. I decided to make this after have a TON of red pom poms left from another project. Adding these to the frame and adding some wooden hearts created a great addition to my valentine decorations.
